Above is points and status credits for some recent flights, should I be asking the pilots to take the long way home more often or do a few laps of the airfield to crank up the earnings. The BNE NTL flight was 935 earlier in the year, I know they have recently completed the Buladelah bypass now so that has shortened the coastal drive but how did he shave off so much on the way up to Emerald or did he fly past Mum's for a otw home put the kettle on for his home run back to Brissy :mrgreen:

The points earn on Velocity is $ based not distance based as it is with Qantas.

As a Platinum you would earn 5x the amount spent on the airfare + 100% bonus.

Damn and here I thought I'd found a sneaky way to rack up a few more points, didn't realize it wasn't distance based had always presumed it was same as Qantas, oh well if he does a couple extra laps maybe I can sneak in a second wine in on the run home.
