Hi All,

I have booked three QF tickets with a TA plus one ticket online with QF, (all on the same flight). Can the 2 bookings be joined so that we are on the same reservation?

Thanks for your help.

No it can't

However if you contact QF and ask them to complete a TCP for the bookings, they will know both bookings are travelling together

You can't ever merge two bookings into one - you can only do the reverse ie start with a single pnr which can subsequently be divided if someone wants to change their dates.

Are any of you silver QF frequent flyers or above? If you are then you can pre-allocate your seats together so the person booked separately can be seated near you.

If you call the airline they can cross reference both bookings. About 48 hours before for international flights whoever is doing the pre-flight can see both bookings cross-referenced & pre-seat those pax together if it hasn't already been done.

My husband, who is on the reservation with the 3 tickets, is silver QF frequent flyer and can select seats for the 3 passengers. Myself, who is bronze and on the single reservation, would have to pay the $25 to select my seat next to them so I am going to take the gamble that I will be allocated a seat next to them.

Thank you for your advice to call QF and get the bookings cross referenced. I will do such tomorrow. :)

When you call QF ask them if they can waive the $25.00 fee as you are travelling with a frequent flyer silver & if you were on their booking you wouldn't have had to pay.

If you're flying on a 747 aircraft you might want to grab two rows of seats towards the back of the plane eg 70JK & 71JK where there's only two seats on the side not three.

We are on an A330.

I selected the party of 3's seats using my husband's silver status and then phoned QF to have the two bookings crossed referenced. The very kind QF agent sat us together and waived the $50 fee without me asking. :)
