If i purchase a JASA and it's classed as a business saver with no refund for cancellation before or after flying will I lose not only the cash part of the fare but also all my points used if I did have to cancel?

Thanks for your replies. I am just getting confident in using JASAs for my long haul flights thanks to this forum and the expertise of all the guys here.

The rules for JASA's can vary greatly, so make sure you review and understand them before purchasing.

My experience was I rang them and they offered to alter dates with virtually no penalty, only about $ 15 in extra taxes or credit Total points back to account if I wanted to

I saw a particularly good JASA for Aug 13 LHR to BNE.

2 people 256,000 points and just over 1000GBP in cash. The T & C said NO REFUND for cancellation before or after flight. No Name changes and no flight changes. Not one mention of a fee. I have seen these conditions before when trying to purchase J flights from LHR to BNE.....great price but can't cancel them without losing the full fare and can't change them.

As an aside I am planning on getting a JASA BNE/LHR for Sept 13 so have started looking to get a feel of what may become available. Then 4 -5 weeks later I plan on getting the return.

So I am assuming that if I use points and cash for LHR/BNE I will lose the points as well as cash if I have to cancel. It doesn't spell it out in the T & Cs.
