Hello, I am Jemaru and I am new to this forum. Iam soon flying to Germany via Singapore where I have a stopover of 9 hours in the Transit Hotel. I have to take a few syringes with medication in a cooler bag with me. Does anyone know if I can take it in my hand luggage? Because the whole flight takes so long incl. transit I am reluctant to put them in my suitcase, mainly because I don't know where the luggage is stored. If in an air conditioned room or somewhere in the hot climate. Thank you for any information you might have.

I have flown on numerous airlines with syringes in my carry-on since 2008 without ever having a problem. Initially I would inform the staff at the check in counter and the staff at the x-ray/security points as well, and while they all acknowledged that it was ok, they all seemed to not really care either. I just don't bother anymore, although I always carry a letter from my doctor, just in case.

I have flown with syringes and also meds in a cooler bag. On long haul flights I have asked the FAs to top up my cooler bag with some ice, they have always obliged. Curiously I have never had the contents examined either at X-ray or security points. I do also carry a letter from my GP
