sydney virgin-emirates connections

Folks,

I am about to book Virgin DJ550 Perth to Sydney arriving at 06:55 am 3rd July 2010. I am connecting to Emirates EK418 SYD to CHC leaving at 9:15am.

Have I left plenty of time to collect bags, transfer and check in to Emirates.

I am 79% sure that EK and DJ have an interline agreement so you should be able to book the bags through to CHC. However as it is a New Zealand end destination and no-one (in Australia) will care if flights to NZ have lost luggage, prepare to be disappointed none-the-less.
