Hi, looking for advice on travelling from Sydney to Havana, Cuba next April. My partner is making this round trip alone and is undecided which airline to fly and route to take bearing in mind you cannot fly directly from the US to Cuba - at least at present. Flight would be in business class. Options are Air Canada via Vancouver- Toronto-Havana or Qantas-LA-Mexico City-Havana or American Airlines with the same routing as Qantas. Total travel times appear similar. Any thoughts on the merits of each airlines business class product? - Qantas would be on the A380 or 747 vs 777 for AA vs 777 on Air C. A big concern is the connection in Mexico City if that route was taken. A separate booking is needed so is 3 hours realistic as a transit time there to get bags, clear customs, get to Aero Mexico desks and get back through security?? If a stay is needed overnight is there an airside hotel in Mexico City airport and what is it like? Thanks for your help.
