I am flying to BKK on Emirates in J using QF points. I have a friend on the same flight who is flying on a paid Y ticket. I am assuming I will be able to get access to the lounge but will I be able to bring a guest in?

I am a Qantas club member so I might be able to get into the QClub with him as a guest but that would be a last resort.

Any wisdom from from the experienced flyers?

Are you flying from SYD? You can get access to the SYD EK and QF J lounge. I believe as a QC member you can also guest one into each.

It doesn't matter how you or your friend bought the tickets.

One big yup coming at you. Enjoy the EK lounge.
