Does anyone have any suggestions for hotels in Sydney, there will be five of us 2A 3C (8,7,6)

Where in Sydney, as in CBD or burbs, and what sort of transport?

Okay have two separate trips

1. In the CBD, for 5 nights and we will be using public transport so car parking not required

2. Near airport before heading os on a larger trip

cheers

The meriton does a well priced 2 bedroom (2 queen beds) I use when I travel with 5 20-25 year olds (me included) with a couch rotation. Otherwise the Adina does a 2 bedroom with 1 queen, 2 single and a couch.

Airport Sydney International is also good for groups that need to be close to the airport.

How about the Mantra at the corner of George and Bond Sts. I stayed their with my family a few years ago and was very suitable for a family.

Try the Meriton on Danks st. it's usually cheaper then other serviced apartments in the CBD.
From there it's a short taxi ride to the airport or CBD.

Had a night recently at the brand spanking new Rydges right outside the Syd. Int. Terminals front door, fantastic room, dead quiet, super fast check in and mobile out paid $150 for the night.

I've been meaning to check it out! The mercure has dropped in price since its open but it looks amazing. Sadly I didn't know about it till my cab ride from the airport to the mercure!

Good to know, I'm there next Monday :)

I'd recommend any of the Meriton properties if you can get a good deal. I've found there seems to be little middle ground between stupidly expensive and amazingly cheap with Meriton, but if you get a good deal they are really worth it. I've stayed there for both work and holiday and always enjoyed them - good apartment facilities (kitchen, in-room laundry, etc), LOTS of room space, new and with nice amenities.
