Still hoping to be able to go to Sydney this coming Labour Day weekend in Vic if borders are open.

There aren't that many five star options to choose from because many are taking returned travellers doing quarantine.

Currently have two open bookings, one at the Star for a premium king suite $1000 for 2 nights with $100 dining credit per day non coughulative, or $900 at Sofitel Darling Harbour in a corner room for half the size but with more modern decor. $100 of the Star's dining credit will definitely be used as we have a Sokyo booking. Decisions decisions.

Was going to stay at a HH property to get some points and a chance to keep diamond, but West hotel's room is too small and the previous experience wasn't that great, and with the main Hilton, have to get at least a premium room for good space and views.

They are not everyones choice but I like Meriton suites. Plenty of choice of location and room size

I did think about it, but don't want to give them money after that saga regarding the ratings.

Yes it's open, but not the casino, so might as well stay closer to the Star.

Ended up cancelling the Star booking and going for Sofitel. Fingers crossed the borders remain open this weekend!!!
