Is this another thing we can blame macquarie for.??

Seriously this is a major shame, I hope it can be resurrected in the near future.

If the contract has just expired ( rather than terminated ) then I see no grounds that they could pursue anything. Once the contract has expired then there is no contract

Dave

As I said Dave, if the contract had expired, and was not renewed, *and* SACL said that no other operator was going to be taking it over, then indeed they are fully able to pursue them.

As I also said, I don't know what was/was not said, but it would only seem appropriate to tell the current operator that their contract was not being renewed and they would not be able to re-tender, and not tell them that no other operator would be taking the tours over.

Legal - Yes (although I am not a lawyer)
Ethical - No.
Scummy Behaviour - Yes
Sounds like something SACL would do? - Yes.
