Sydney Domestic J Lounge Showers

Is there signage in the bathroom about where to return the towels? I can't recall.

Whoops. confession time. Ive always left my used towels in the DOM J shower suites because id assumed they were cleaned after each use.

I see your platinum with only qantas. Maybe you should get out more if you think Qantas crew are so bad. Still I have no idea what crew on the aircraft have to do with the showers in Sydney business lounge.

I dont think that is a solid indicator of the number of airlines flown.

Yeah, it's not a xx_Xing competition. Althought I optimise to VA and QF platinum.

You got me on airlines... I'm pretty happy than my AN flights currently equal EK and SQ...

They are too loyal.
Though civilised pax would be civilised enough to put used towels in the bin and be mindful of other passengers when using shared facilities.
The lounge is not even part of the Bundle of Rights...


Not direct relationship, but Qantas significantly relies on contract labour.....

Lounge is not a bundle of rights? Just a benefit of status...
Still I first paid for qantas club, when it was actually not a bundle of rights for flying, because "I'm in the shower...."

There are surely many indicators of airline lounge and shower experience... I dare say flying once on an airline is unlikely to provide a lounge experience, compared to holding status that includes lounge access, or priority pass, or amex plat.

In the Dom J showers tonight. (Last there on Easter Monday)

It would appear there’s only one attendant to tidy up 4 showers.

The one I used had those hand towels (yes they are there !!) on top of the ladies disposal unit not in the actual bin which is tucked under the hand basin.

It had NOT been cleaned between showers and cause I know there’s a towel return in the corridor, I put my used towels in there. There is no signage in the shower room.

I appreciated the shower after a long day out including Coogee Beach

I'll maintain the point, I have platinum with both main domestic airlines compared to just QF - that was the starting point.

There seems to be some kind of strange view that I'm defending Qantas. That would be fake news.

I applaud you for cleaning after yourself. I condemn those that did not clean up after themselves.
Contempt for those other people is not the same as excusing Qantas for only having one attendant

I haven't needed to use the Sydney Domestic J showers in years, but I remember last time I did, the sanitary disposal bin was overflowing with plastic from the towels.

I'd have thought that would be an extremely good ratio and leave the attendant not doing much most of the time.

There is always going to be the risk that multiple people finish a shower at the same time and one stall is dirty for a period of time.

I only wish Qantas had anywhere near that ratio to clean up glasses and plates on tables in lounges.

Having just used a few male toilets at airports over the past couple of days on our return flight from Vancouver to Perth via Hong Kong over the weekend, it seemed that in a row of say 6 toilets, there was an 'out of order' sign on the last one every time....
