Hi, flying from SYD to Sri Lanka in April. I am Platinum Velocity. Just looking for advice on the best connection, airline, lounges, etc. Book Virgin (code share) or Singapore or fly via AbuDhabi? Appreciate your help.

For connection and airline, I'd go SQ. EY might win on lounges, but I'd be going SQ.

Flying through AUH would mean backtracking.. I would also fly SQ

If traveling Y Just be careful booking any SQ sweet deal or VA saver as I'm pretty sure no points and no SCs. Learned the hard way, so be aware.

SQ is connection to Cmb is ok, getting in at night. Departure leaves after midnight (same plane I believe), but allows a connection to the 9am sin-syd flight back.
