Sydney airport short layover

Hi there all,
Iam arriving in Sydney after flying from Auckland with Jetstar. I then have to find and check in at the nearest Emirates desk. I only have 1hr35mins and cant change this. (Already tried).
Can anyone give me any help on getting to the checkin desk quickly and is it easily accessible from arrivals.
also do I go through customs as only in transit?

Welcome to AFF, your bags should be through checked from JQ to EK assuming it's all on the one booking, so it's a simple matter of going through the transit security and going to the transit desk to pick up a BP if you don't have one.

I forgot to add that I only have hand luggage. But as different airlines to have to check in, I presume this would be at transit desk as im staying airside.
does anyone know if same timing rules apply to transit desks as checkin counters.
eg. Emirates rigid 60min rule.
does the same apply.if goimg straight from arrival to airside transit desk?
