Hello

Could anyone help me have clarity on whether I will be 100% ok next month on Singapore Airlines to Singapore - switching to Lufthansa to Frankfurt - to buy duty free in Sydney airport as a present to take to my hosts in Germany? Or will i lose it at the gate or before? Thanks

Duty free in SIN has to be delivered from local duty free stores to gate in sealed bags.

If you have a couple of hours in SIN why not pick up duty from there?

All security checks at SIN are done at the gate, so if you buy some booze at SYD airside, I'd assume that it'll end up becoming a generous donation to one security screener's liquor cabinet.

You will loose your liquid in Singapore if you purchase it in Sydney. Why not get it when you arrive in Germany?

If you want to take an Australian spirit or wine you could purchase at DM and pack it in your checked luggage.
