That was a great TR. How did the points credit from the return flight, was it just the standard LAX - SYD or LAX - NAN, NAN - SYD? Certainly looked like an experience.

The points were credited as a normal LAX-SYD. This occurred while i was still in the hotel in Nadi, trying to find out some other info. I was hoping i'd get points for LAX-NAN and NAN-SYD instead of LAX-SYD.

It was my first interntional trip, and by myself. Because of what has happened, i'l almost be disappointed if my next trip overseas is not as eventful.

Me, I wish for everything to go as scheduled. Stress and delay on one of my tightly planned trips is not what I want!

Great trip report! Good to see some passion and photographs. One thing I love is just looking out the window over the ocean enjoying the textures of clouds and water ten kilometres below.

And hanging out the window looking for stuff. I flew DFW-SFO once, and it was just magic on a clear day going over the desert with meteorite craters, mountains and then coming in over the Bay.

For photography, I think you need a slightly better camera. More pixels, more zoom, image stabilisation. I've got a Canon SX110 IS, which fits in my pocket and has a lot of power for quality shots.

Shooting airline food can be tricky, but sometimes you just need a flash to get the detail!
