mrs alect is arriving into SYD domestic and needs to go to Alexandria (not that far). Can she hop on the Airport Link traing and get off at Green Square (without going all the way to Central)? And would a taxi fare be less than the seemingly extortionist train fare on Airport Link given the short distance?

Depends where in Alexandria. If it's close to Green Square, I would just take the train. Otherwise if she has to train and then cab it, then just cab it all the way, not worth the hassle. Under $20 for sure (traffic dependant), but might have to wait in a long taxi queue (peak hour dependant too) :)

Thanks - it's walkable from Green Square

Yep it's probably not economically nor time advantageous, but she may cop aggro from the taxi driver for such a short distance as well.

ALexandria should be short enough that the cabbie can get back and go to the front of the queue (may be in for a wild ride though!)
