Just a question, meaningless twaddle or stupid question to some I am sure, BUT...
Has anyone ever with a booking in EK F since the EK and QF tie up, been moved from their 380 service to the Jetconnect 737 service?
Reason I ask, is/was that I had a booking with NZ about 2.5 years ago, for an economy seat on NZ's 777 from AKL to MEL, booking made with VB at that time, got moved to a 737 from AKL to SYD.
Don't want this to happen if and when I book with QF to use EK metal with QF flight number.
Waffle turn to mute now, thanks all.

Why would they move you from First class to business/economy on 737?

The A380 cancelled on that day?

If the flight was cancelled I'm sure you would be offered alternatives but you won't be forced onto anything else, you could elect to fly the following day etc

If EK or QF did DG me from F to J or even Y+ or Y I know I'd def. be PO'd. UKWIM?

if there was a downgrade to a "J" cabin (I use that use that loosely with JetConnect) QF would, I think, be required to compensate you in some way or form for a F-J fare difference etc.

Anyway given the pack of EK a/c going trans-tasman from SYD any day even if one cancels, I am sure you could be put on another service, even if it was to CHC (for example) and flown up to AKL on JQ or something.

I think this is not a big worry to have.

I wouldn't be asking Qantas for a refund for a downgrade in case they ask you to pay more than originally paid to be downgraded.

Will keep this in mind.
Covering all bases of what ifs.
I didn't even whimper when VBA (Virgin Blue) kicked me off the NZ 777 booking to the their own 737 when it happened to me on the "opposition".
Ok, thats it, thanks.
On and ahead we go.
