SYD-SIN 23/7 return 25/7

Hi all,

I need to travel on QF5 23/7, return is flexible evening 25/7 (to SYD or OOL) or 26/7 (SYD only). I would ideally love to travel on QF6 on 25/7 but it's showing sold out in all classes.

At this stage the best I can do is SYD-SIN 23/7 $590 in QF S class, SIN-OOL 25/7 SGD$908 in ScootBiz. QF's current sale is tempting as I can book a return in 11 months and pay $650 return total in O class, but the reality is I will likely have no need for the return journey.

Any better options than this? I'm also considering waiting closer to Friday to see if an AA award becomes available on either QF or BA (or MH/CX indirect if I get desperate).

Regarding the return flight, it appears pretty much all flights out of Singapore on Friday and Saturday are full or very close to it. No availability on BA whatsoever, and on QF the only thing available is SIN-MEL(-SYD) on Saturday 26/7 at a cost of over $1400. MH has nothing on Friday, although you could fly SIN-KUL-SYD on Saturday for ~$1100.

With that in mind, I can't find anything better than what you have suggested. If you can book Scoot Biz to OOL for $908, go for it.
