*Destination should be FCO*
*SYD-FCO & AMM-SYD*

First time poster, few time reader ;)
Hoping some people with much more international travel experience than myself (0) may be able to offer some helpful tips...

Anyway... in November I'm planning a trip to Italy and Egypt/Jordan (wierd combo i know)..

Anyway, the flights im hoping to achieve are
Sydney-Rome
and then
Amman-Sydney

due to how the trip is panning out...
Emirates appears to be the best choice for a 'single carrier' solution and seems to be the cheapest regardless...

Currently Emirates have this for around the $1900 mark...
Couple of questions for the experts..

1) Does this seem like a 'regular' price or would it be discounted due to their sale which ends on the 20th April
2) Buy now or wait?
and
3) Any alternatives I might have overlooked for these flights? (leaving from Amman seems to reduce the choices significantly)

Thanks for any assistance

Without looking too much into combo's, just a little bit of housekeeping, Rome is FCO and not ROM (I think ROM stands for Rome Airports as there is also Ciampino -CIA).

OW you have a couple of options BA and CX fly to FCO, CX would avoid a transfer at LHR.

I am sure RJ would do alot of flying from AMM to BKK and on to HKG where you can connect.

May be a case of using a TA for trying to use OW partners

Thanks for the tip...
going to see Travel Agent tommorow... just didnt want to miss a decent fare if its due to the sale ending on the 20th

If you are not worried about any FF Points or Status than I do not see any harm with going the EK way.

Your TA should be able to help you find fares for the destination you are looking for (Sorry I can't help more I don't have Expert Flyer et al...)

P.S Welcome to AFF;)
