Are there meals or more substantial food available in the SYD J International Lounge? Heading to HNL in November and the flight doesn't leave until 2225. I've only been in there once before a couple of years ago and there was only cheese and crackers type food. Have I missed something? Would like to have a decent meal before we board then straight to sleep once on board.

Many thanks!

You can have a decent meal in the lounge before your flight. I'm not frequent enough to know what's on the menu but a buffet with hot food is always available.

Plenty of breads and nibbles to keep you topped up aswell.

Enjoy!

There is plenty of food... but the quality varies. There'll usually be a hot dish, and a buffet with plenty of carb-laden items, bulk salads, soup, and the cheese and crackers you mention!

Will you leave hungry? No. Will you have had a decent meal? Probably on par with Sizzler :) (yes I have been to Sizzler, about 30 years ago. I got banned after going around the buffet island 'the wrong way'. A big 'no-no' apparently :()
