Hi everyone, my in laws are flying QF to SIN this weekend out of SYD and don't have status. I was wondering if anyone knew of a lounge at SYD intl departures that might allow purchased access? Thought it would be a nice gesture.

Any insights are much appreciated.

Cheers.

Not QF, can pay to access the NZ Koru club if on a Star Alliance flight.
Why don't you put their flight details in the meetings thread incase any of our members are travelling that day ?

I think (but please congirm, just going off memory) it is possible to buy a 30 day AA Admiral's Club membership for ~AUD100. This would get access to Qantas lounges before Qantas flights (and allow a guest, so only one required). So that may get access for the return as well.
I would imagine you'd need to get cracking if you wish to do it. :)

Two people to two lounges averages out to $25 each - money well spent.

This is a very good idea. Just to confirm - from your knowledge this will get them into the QF J departures lounge in SYD and SIN on the way back - right?

On the AA website it says they can access the QF lounges at T2 and T3 but nothing about T1. Worries me that it might not cover them for international flights!

Wont be an issue, those details are out of date considering T2 lounge is gone.

The Admirals Club membership provides access for the member and a guest to any accessible Qantas Club or Qantas International Business lounge before departure on a QF flight.
