Saw something nice while having breakfast here at the SYD FLounge this morning. There weren't too many people sitting down eating and I overheard a passenger at another table in the course of having a chat with the staff mention off-hand that it was his wedding anniversary. The staff member then went back to his work but not too long after he headed over to the bar area and came back to the passenger with an unopened bottle of bubbles and a bag to put it in. Just thought it was a nice touch.

Red Roo, kudos to the staff in the dining area this morning.:)

Hopefully the passenger is on a point to point otherwise such a nice gesture gets binned.

Thanks for sharing this. I've certainly passed it on to the lounge manager for their reference. :)

What a kind gesture. Reminds me, my son and I will be in the Lounge Thursday .... so looking forward to it! Off to LHR!

What a lovely gesture.

I might have to have an anniversary every time I fly - especially if the Bollinger Rosé ever comes back!

Indeed, it might have to be my honeymoon at check in, anniversary in the lounge, and my birthday once onboard. What a special day!

You never know. I of course speak in jest.

Having said that, on my next birthday I'm flying SYD-DXB-LHR in F and certainly wouldn't complain if something special happened :D

I hope the staff member doesn't get into trouble for this...

+1

Isn't everyone flying and visiting the First Lounge on their anniversary or their honeymoon?

They might upgrade you to coughpit class, actually, what could they possibly do to make something special happen?

To top the morning off my boarding pass went "ding" at the gate and was quickly torn up and one with a much lower seat number on it was handed back. First time op-up in 2 years of being WP. A good day all round. :D
