SYD curfew

i suspect most of us Sydneysiders would be happy for planes to land round the clock. its just a few NIMBYs who whinge about the noise.
I don't appreciate being woken before 5:00am by aircraft passing low over my place as they are about the land. I have no issues if they approach and take off over water. If this means that the winds are not quite right and they have to burn extra fuel then so be it.

yet it was these same people who all chose to buy or rent under the flight path... w*nkers if you ask me
That is a little unfair. We bought in Belmore in 1974 and we were nowhere near a flight path until John Howard got into power more than 20 years later.

They started off having flights overhead weekly every Tuesday to the point where they are now overhead everyday. No thank you. Return all the flight paths back over Double Bay, Potts Point, Neutral Bay, Mosman, Kiribilli etc. After all the people there fly more than most.

That is a little unfair. We bought in Belmore...

To be "fair", John, Belmore isn't exactly Sydenham! We have friends at Terrey Hills, and I can tell you there is a big difference between a departing 744 at a couple of hundred feet and the same aircraft at a couple of thousand feet.
