There is no way QF would put recliners on this route. It is simply not going to happen. Personally if I got on board and was faced with a recliner I would getting off, going back to the F lounge and requesting a transfer to a proper carrier. It simply isn't going to happen.

Doesn't stop Thai! My last trip back from BKK they had an old config 747 on the route with sit up seats. At the time (March 2012) the flight had this config about 2 out of 5 days with no easy way of knowing until you got to the gate.

Never say never. QF have deployed the domestic 330's on international routes within the last year or so when the need has been there.

It may be very rare, but it has happened.

I flew on a recliner on a special QF flight per to jnb. Most uncomfortable !

QF haven't flown PER-JHB for a while, how long ago was that and what was the metal you were on?

Oh how soon we forget the past. I was just thinking about my first trip to the US in 2003, which was with Qantas in a sit-up seat. Back then I felt like King Farouk, but now would feel robbed.

Yeah - I did AKL-LAX in dreamtime seats in 2007 - wasnt the end of the world - but I would struggle with domestic J seats for that long...

Just think a lot of us now wont fly the older sloping Skybed because it is not horizontal... Although I am on this flight myself up to BKK soon...

Seatguru certainly knows the difference in seatguru...must be something lost in the translation/migration to EF!
Actually seatguru doesn't when using the flight look up!

Go to the Airline Seating Charts - Best Airplane Seats - SeatGuru home page. In the "Find the Seatmap for Your Flight!" tool that's front and centre and you cannot convince it to bring up an international 332.

I suspect E/F imports it's info from the same tool or at least it's engine.
