SYD all-day check in status?

What's the bet Sydney Airport suddenly find extra space to store these few bags early, once there is some competition from Badgery's Creek....

Not a bet I am taking.

Can't imagine many are rocking up at SYD T1 more than 6 hours prior to departure unless they have F lounge access - and I'm struggling to imagine an F lounge at WSI.

I don't think this would ever have been targeted at locals..

In fact, I can't even see that there would be many taking advantage of it at all, besides a few tourists looking to store their luggage for the day while they sightsee on their last day in Sydney.

The airports/Qantas's "excuse" that there is no room to store them, doesn't stand up to scrutiny.

For the tiny number of F/OWE bags there would be, they could probably just stash them somewhere behind the desks before sending them on the belt.

Checked out of my hotel near SYD this morning and got the local 350/420 bus over to T1.
Was planning to sit until 1430, the 6 hour mark before QF75 that above posts mentioned as the bag acceptance start time.
Tried my chances at 1300. The check in agent was a bit surprised I was there early, but was all good to take the bag at 7.5 hours.
