Sukiyabashi Jiro? I'd read about the difficulty of getting a booking there and their being camera- (and allegedly gaijin-) hostile. I went to its sibling in Roppongi and it was a sublime experience.

True too that not so gaijin friendly...Probably because cant speak Japanese... His apprentice spoke good English and was friendly enough though...
Heard the Ropponggi branch is more relaxed with equivalent sushi! Prob will try it next time!
 
you guys should have a trip to Kyushu. The heaven of Sushi is over there.... cheap and fresh and delicious.
 
There is a great doco about this restaurant called "Jiro dreams of sushi". Its a great watch and will make you very hungry.
