Superwoman on Virgin ..

Potential party poopers... But some of these groups can get a little out of control...

Good. I'm glad this is proactively happening.

I've been on too many flights to/from OOL where the behaviour of passengers made me want to open the door and step out.

Just this afternoon I witnessed on a SYD-OOL flight...

Woman Boarded flight, I was in front of her going down the aerobridge and she was saying to her friend how she'll fake an injury so she can sit in "in the fancy seating up the front"

Boarded, she started limping, flight attendant saw right through it, pushed back to her seat, argument broke out. Blocking the aisle, she stopped the front half of the aircraft boarding for 2mins. She even tried later on in the flight to seat herself in the J cabin. When she tried to lift her bag into the overhead, she physically couldn't. Flight attendant stepped in again, tried to lift it and instantly knew that had to be checked in underneath. So she decided to have a fight. We no longer departed on time.

Not to mention the countless bucks parties I've sat near. I really do think that somebody should hold an airline etiquette course, or something. I am starting to get a little over poor behaviour on aircraft for flights to and from OOL.

Tell me you're not making this up.

That woman is most preposterous. If it were me in your shoes who overheard her, I would've given her a piece of my mind on board. I'd almost be tempted to also give her a real limp frankly.

What absolutely childish behaviour.

It’s going to take a while for the riff raff to move on to Jetstar you know ;)

You don’t see that sort of behaviour on QF for a reason… :p

Typical behaviour from interstate bogans. The local bogans are much more refined ;)

Sounds a bit like flying out Proserpine Airport.

i was there once and a lady was told that a Bikini is not acceptable for flight.

She then put a see thru T shirt on and that was ok.

yesterday saw a young lady with a umm very largish upper frame, wearing a green dress which was very transparent, sleeveless with sides that were split down to the hips, spilling out sideways out as she had no bra on (she reinserted 2 times in 100 meters) leaving gate 12 or 13 yesterday...

for scientific study only, i did alter my path to gate 11 twice!

btw - she could easily have been a model. inappropriate in public, yes, on a cougho movie set, no...

IMHO she should've been offloaded when the fighting started. Isn't hand luggage weighed at the gate?

If she wanted to sit in the fancy seating up the front, she needs to pay the fancy prices that goes with it. Simple really, even a bogan should understand that.

It's a pity 'Superwoman' wasn't on your flight Liam, 'she' could've swung into action.

Good on Virgin for doing it - can't these people wait until they arrive to start the party, dressing in that attire only means one thing on the flight. Party at your venue on your own where you aren't disrupting people, not a full plane of people who don't want to be near you.

Thanks all, I'm glad it's not just me that sees this sort of behaviour as acceptable.

I don't think OOL even have scales at the gates, I've never been weighed. After a argument or two, she agreed to check in her bag.

Completely agree re paying for J if she wants to sit in J. People often complain to me (even random strangers) asking since there is a spare seat next to me, if they can sit in Busuness. The line a draw out "If you paid to sit in Business, you sit in Business. If you paid to sit in Economy, you sit in Economy" The crew always give me a smile when I do.

I'd be interested to see what other stories frequent flyers have. But I date say some of the worst behaviour is to/from OOL.

I guess Virgin may still be shaking off the "disposition" that it's the airline who isn't the "fun police" (the media seems to take this bias, too).

Glad to know it's not about fun police or not, it's simply a matter of manners, behaviour and courtesy.

If the new QF Ambassador boarded and sat next to me in a bikini I'd consider that more than acceptable.

Mrs 11 might not though!
