Just sitting in SYD QP and forecast is saying some strong winds on the way. Look outside and see they have changed to the cross runway and a Tiger plane taking off almost vertically, it's certainly getting plant of lift. Here's hoping my BNE bound flight gets blown home early

I landed in SYD about half an hour ago (currently in SYD J Lounge). It's bumpy, and they made everyone prepare for landing and be seated half an hour out rather than the usual 5-10 minutes. But it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

I am in SYD business lounge right now.

I hope the forecasted winds do not cause further delays than my standard forecasted delays.

Can't be too far from me then!

Heh. Where are you? Might say hi! I'm at the long working desk near the barista/bar wearing a purple t-shirt.

I am the desktops. I shall come around and say hello.

Sydney Airport wind is now from the south, with an average of 56kmh and a gust of 70kmh. That's getting high, but from what I can see on Flightradar24.com - Live flight tracker! it doesn't seem to be affecting flights.

With this Sunday effectively being in the middle of an unofficial long weekend (at least for some Victorians) given the nags' event on Tuesday, this would not be the busiest Sunday for leisure or business travellers, so it might be a tad easier for airlines if the odd flight here and there has quietly dropped off the schedules, or if there are fewer passengers on average boarding planes between MEL and SYD.

It's a small world after all?

First person I've met from AFF!
Pleasure to meet you.

My flight was on time and I hope your flight is on time.

Keep an eye out for those PER drinks nights....

Great meeting you as well. My flight was delayed a little, but made it home eventually.

I will definitely try to get along to the next PER meetup as well! Sounds like it could be a great time :)
