Strategy to obtain US Amex

That's so cool. I've been keeping my behavior for C1 and Citi - got both checking account from them - now just need cards to be approved but was afraid to apply as so many denial since beginning of this year.

Hoping for the Erase purchase feature from Cap1 VX and Citi AA
Citi is really hit and miss. They closed my checking account despite having money cause I wasn't actively using it.

After hearing all the potential fraud activities, I got a little concerned so I won't be trying to chase Citi.

Anyone holding US AMEX platinum?
I have a US green card, thinking about upgrade to platinum, not sure how you are managing those perks which are only largely available in US.

I already have a AU Amex Platinum

Did you open your Citi account in person or online?
I'm running into trouble with my recently opened BOA checking a/c opened in person - my last 2 Zelle xfers have been blocked. I was able to transfer before to the same id which is basically my ac with another bank...

Just called up to unlock it. I encountered this with Citi and Chase too, their Fraud systems are very sensitive especially there are lots of Fraud around Zelle payments recently.

Thanks. I've been holding back from calling as I don't have the debit card yet so not sure how would they verify me.

If MsP was to obtain a Chase card in US, how could she transfer personal funds to me using the CC? Would this satisfy the 5k qualifying amount and is it likely to trigger a warning?

Not sure what you mean.

US card sign-up bonuses work the same as Australian card sign-up bonuses. You need to make purchases to meet the spend criteria for the bonus.

1. MsP can't meet spend requirement so I suggested she transfer $5k funds to my personal account. In Ausralia you can use something like Yakpay to do this. She cannot use Yakpay because she does not have an australian ABN and she lives in US.
2. Somewhere in this thread members have mentioned using 3rd party apps that have raised alarms, resulting in cancellation of CC. So I need a recommendation for something that works flawlessly.

just noticed my brand new Citi aa card which was supposed to have been delivered to planet express by 8 May has a charge for a Korean bbq restaurant in Long Beach .
Planet express has not informed me it has arrived . Just wondering how someone could activate card .
Any advice ?
