Strategy to obtain US Amex

I applied for both - 250k/20k for P2 and 130k/10k for P1. I did try and get Plat for P1, but I am <90 days so will reapply once >90 days. I have a lot of BAS coming up

I hate chase ;)

Hi Mate. May I ask if you have used EIN and ITIN to apply for business card, or only ITIN is sufficient. Thank you.

You can apply for a biz card with an ITIN. Chase will not accept your application with <12m history and that needs to be reported history. You don't need Amex to link your ITIN but usually a sure way to link your ITIN to your existing Amex records is to apply for another Amex with your ITIN.

Edit: I would wait 13-14 months before attempting with Chase.

I use ITIN only and getting my 2nd biz gold within 6 months. I will be applying for a new Biz gold and Biz Plat cards every 3 months

Are you suggesting that you can apply for multiple of the same Biz card as a sole prop? Are you just saying that it's a different business?

You can have multiples of the same biz card that doesn't eat into 5/24, but if you want the SUB there is a strat on wrote on it a week or so ago I think

On AFF or reddit?

Please explain?

You essentially can keep applying for the same cards over and over again assuming they don't have the lifetime language. I know Chase is OK with using the same ITIN to apply for a few cards but I wasn't aware that Amex was OK with it as well. He mentioned the 5/24 rule because biz cards don't count towards the 5 cards in 24 months so if you need cards to churn and are waiting to apply for Chase, it would be suitable.

Chase has a 5/24 rules where they will deny you credit if you have applied more than 5 reported cards in the past 24 months.

bit late to the party it seems and they are adding more hoops to jump through ;)

applied amex hilton card via G.T 3-4wks ago.
then got hit up needing a "real address" and now a utlity bill or bank statements.
just applied for a HSBC premier last weekend & transferred in the funds.

1st GT or 2nd/3rd?

As a data point I did my 4th GT recently on a NLL Surpass, it has shipped with no issues and I have started spending via PayPal. No brainer for the quarterly Wine credit and 130k HH.

It did seemingly eat into the credit limit on my other Surpass, which has dropped from 20k to 11.5k. (new card assigned 10k limit)

What cards do you have now?

Aspire, Surpass, Green?
