Just tried setting up T-mobile Esim on my iPhone 12. Was an absolute nightmare. Ended up getting 2 different accounts each using a different number and couldn't get either of them to receive texts/calls from my Aussie number or the T-mobile verification number. So frustrating. Going to try Hushed app.

You need to activate wifi-calling to activate the t-mobile simcard in AU, otherwise it won't activate
I think you can activate wifi calling from your online account then activate it on your phone under the phone settings (it will ask for a US address for your e-911
Hushed should also work, I've tried it with Amex when I started back in March

Thanks mate. I submitted using Hushed number successfully, but got asked for US tax return. Called GT team coz I obviously don't have US tax return and after a bunch of verification/being passed around to different reps I finally got the option to verify my US address by submitting either/and US utility bill, US bank statement which I did

Will Uber Eats or any of the food delivery services work for the monthly dining credit?

Or has anyone tried this yet, those that have the Brilliant.

Hi all, so I was approved for the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card and Amex site says card will arrive at MyUS address on October 3. Just wondering is there anything I need to do to prepare MyUS to successfully receive the card and forward it to me in AUS? I'm on the premium MyUS plan.

Make sure you write down the package's tracking number (You can find it on your US AMEX 's page. If you can't, just play around the tabs. It should be there )

If MyUS does not assign your package to your Suite No. (It can happen if AMEX does not put your Suite No. on the address) just email them your tracking number, and they should be able to put your package to your Suite No.

Do note u get the 85k Free night cert after renewal and not on sign up.

Cool thanks mate. So if the package does arrive and is successfully put into my suite, does it automatically show up on my MyUS account?

There can be a delay at MyUS in placing packages into suites. Packages are received in bulk and are not individually signed for. Sooner or later, once sorted, packages should show up in your account, assisted by Amex using the full address (including the suite number).

Your chosen account settings then determine how the package will be forwarded.

Hi,
Aussie Platinum card holder, so i've just made my first attempt for a GT (Hilton Aspire Card).

After completing the pre-filled in application form it gave me the following:

You can help speed up the process by confirming your income. Please continue by uploading one of the following documents:

  • Request for Transcript of Tax Return (Form 4506-T)

Any one get this, no option to upload any other supporting documentation. Obviously I don't have a US tax return, the only other post i've seen was someone who didn't to a GT.

I've selected the "decline" to submit the 4506-T form and provided "Don't currently have a US Tax history" as the reason.

Any advice?

Yes I encountered this with my recent application (first card). Called them up, explained that I didn't have a US tax record and that the application was a Global Transfer application. The agent (offshore I believe) understood immediately and transferred me through to a GT specialist (onshore). She looked through the application, asked if I was willing to do a 3 way address verification with my US bank (I have a US savings account), we did that reasonably quickly and she approved the application straight away after that. Took about 30 mins all up.

I got the impression that the address verification was unavoidable in my case (she mentioned that I could either do the three way call or request a bank address confirmation issued on official letterhead).

I tried declining the 4506-T as well but realised doing that probably did nothing at all, as the decline option is built into the docusign app rather than the Amex site itself. After I declined the 4506-T, I reloaded the "upload documents" page using the link Amex sent in the email, and that appeared to just generate a new 4506-T to sign :)

I went through the exact same process a few days ago. Quick and easy :)

Google Finance is showing AUD to USD at $0.74, which is a massive jump from $0.64. Revolut and Wise still showing 0.6x. Is that a bug with Google or did AUD really became strong overnight?

I've opened two Amex US cards via GT and not had to do this. I use a MyUS address. I thought address verification is only needed after you graduate from global transfers and start opening directly with Amex US?
at what point to most graduate from global transfers and start opening directly with Amex US?
