Strategy to obtain US Amex

Has anyone been able to get their credit report and scores online for free or through a monitoring service, using their ITIN or manual ID verification through providing a passport and bank statement or something?
Almost all online credit monitoring and score providers need an SSN to get your report/score.

If you hold a US Amex you can check your FICO score through the US Amex mobile app. Once logged in, go to Account and scroll all the way to the bottom, then click FICO Score. Mine shows "unavailable" at the moment because I only signed up for my first Amex a few months back, but I believe you can check your score this way after 6-9 months.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I think it takes longer for a score to be generated, technically you could have a report but no scores.

So above the FICO Score option in the Amex app there is a "Free Credit Report" option, but when you click on it, it takes you to a sign-up form which asks for SSN.

Bank of America has a free Fico, I think a few banks arre doing this. I couldn't find one in Chase but I think maybe Citi does it. I can't log in there anymore since I closed that card in 2019. Credit Karma is free but maybe needs SSN.

I have amex and Citi - have FICO score with both - they vary a little but not by very much - I think they use different methodologird for calculating it. I too would be itnerested in viewing the whole report much like we can get a whole report here once a year or upon a decline for credit. Is there such a thing in the US?

I contacted pretty much all companies who provide a report and score but they all need an SSN
I noticed on Equifax’s consumer website though that they accept both SSN and ITIN, not sure if anyone’s tried to use their ITIN on their website before?

Have been using Equifax Core Credit product and it serves the purpose. It's pretty much listing all of my Amex and Chase cards minus the two that were applied via Amex GT.
All credit limits are accurate, Amex cards show different last 4 digits, but the age and limits are accurate. I'm guessing those might be the original card numbers before I requested next day delivery to MyUS.
It also reports the Vantage 3.0 score, credit utilization.
And yes, I signed up with ITIN.

Good to know!
no Amex through GT, does this mean those cards wont be reported?

Also, has anyone been able to apply for a Chase card within 6 months of getting their Amex through GT?
Can one apply with a credit history less than a year right after the scores show up? Around the 6 months range?
Mainly looking for the CSP card.

The Bank of America Air France was denied. They wanted me to go into a branch and verify my identity which of course I can't do now. So I tried calling everyone. One guy suggested calling an Indianapolis branch that does video conferencing. I called and the humans there don't pick up, it goes back to regular customer service. My credit history is flawless, there is no reason they should have denied this card.

So anyways since I need Skyteam miles, I found a link for a 70k/$2000 spend link for gold Delta Amex on a blog Eye of the Flyer and applied. I used a US based VPN, Textnow phone and a friend's address in Orlando.
The app is under review. I have a SSN and did not use global transfer.
What do I do now? Should I call them and nudge? Or leave them to process it?

If you are in big need of Flying Blue points, Commbank can transfer to that program at 2.5:1 now. However the bonus points are only the equivalent of 40k Flying Blue miles. On the other hand the Ultimate Awards card is fee free if you spend $2500 a month, but YMMV.

I'm retired. I can't get credit cards in Australia. I have a perfect credit history in borh USA and Australia for almost 40 years. I own 98% of my house. But I don't fit the demographic which can supply 2 payslips to get a new Australian credit card. The USA always approved me before based on my Fico score alone and they don't discriminate against age. Experian 765, Transunion 821, Equifax 819. The only thing that has changed is my USA address from California to Florida.

My understanding from the US bloggers is that Chase requires at least 12 months of credit history before even considering you for a card, especially a high end one such as the CSP.

I'd wait, but if you are desperate, you can call the new card member line to see what the status is: 1-866-314-0237. Free using TextNow app.

I didn't get any verification text on my Textnow as part of the application. At what stage of the process does this happen? Experian shows my old USA afddress in California. I applied with a friend's address in Florida. Is this going to be a problem?
