Strategy to obtain US Amex

Is this the correct AMEX Global Transfer site where you apply for a US AMEX card ?

I am interested in the Hilton Aspire card. (I currently have an AMEX Explorer card, since 2017)
Does AMEX GT ever ask for US address verification / utility bills / Income payslips etc ?
(I have a MyUS address but can ask a friend from Arizona if i can use her address instead)

I have the Aspire card. None of those verifications were requested.

I use a MyUS address. Also, TextNow for phone contact.

You don’t really need the special link - you can apply at the main page and select either the nova credit or ‘ I have a Amex in another country ‘ option while applying .

It looks like the 14x points on the Hilton Aspire works for Hilton bars and restaurants as well. I went into a bar in Hilton Sydney and it showed up as 'HILTON SYDNEY'. 1.5% surcharge though but gave it a shot.

Warning: for those who plan to apply a US card and change the address to Aussie address, I got the Citi card and my card was hacked last time. I called and asked them to change my address to the Aussie address and had the replacement card shipped to here in 3 days by DHL. However, I forgot to change it back to the US address, and my card has been closed without warning or notifications. I only figured it out when I couldn’t use the card. I called them again and explained the situation and asked them to reinstate the card but they said that I need to re-apply, can’t reinstate. I also lost all the thankyou points (about 34,000 points). Lesson learned.

so if we change address we shouldn't permanently leave the address as an Aussie address?

Last days to use the Airline Fee Credit for this year and figured that the UA Travel bank is the only option at this point. In the wake of the new UA-VA partnership, not bad after all.

1) Are you required to have a live video chat with EIN Express when you apply for ITIN ?
2) If your ITIN application is successful, does the IRS send you a letter with the ITIN in it ?
3) How do you get the AUD$375 special offer ? Do you just email / mention that you are a reader of Australian Frequent Flyer ?

1. EIN Express is an IRS certified agent, so you will have to schedule a Facetime call with him and show your passport.
2. Yes, IRS will send you a letter with your ITIN number in it. It tool 2 months for me to receive the letter though.
3. I am not sure.

I'm currently going through this application process with Ein express. In regards to point 3. I just used the code expressitin before checkout as was mentioned earlier in this thread and discount was applied.

2 Live video calls are required. 1. After the initial application is made so they can prepare the documents. 2. After they receive your signed documents in order to verify passport and identity.

I sent my signed documents back on 14 December by Express Post but have not heard anything. Tracking says they departed the country the next day but I have no further updates since. I'm assuming that due to Christmas maybe there are delays. Can anyone provide insight on how long it took for their documents to be received by Ein express?

No video chat required. Just provided the IDs in the format requested, and signed the provided ITIN application. On-line submission, no surface mail needed.

As it’s only been 3 weeks, will just wait for the ITIN application to be processed.
