Interesting to see how Strategic will do in such a competitive market where so many have fallen before them.

I think they would have been better off sticking to charter flights.

Strategic Airlines launches first flight from Melbourne | Herald Sun

AUSTRALIA'S newest carrier Strategic Airlines will launch its first flight from Melbourne this morning.

Strategic claims it offers the "first Melbourne route flying direct to coughet".
But the privately-owned airline's route replaces a service operated by V Australia.
V Australia withdrew from the route, meaning Strategic is now the only Australian airline offering the direct service.

The airline, previously a charter operator that carried troops and equipment for the military, launched in September and began converting its A330 Airbus.

It announced the Melbourne-coughet route in November with a one-way one-off fare of $299 or $598 return.

I believe they are servicing the BNE - HKT route as well. Another leg dropped by VA

I don't know how these guys will go. I hope they'll succeed but I don't think they will.

It screams OzJet to me, personally. An odd collection of routes and no real brand loyalty.
