The plus one and I have a stop over for 6 hours in KL (ex Sydney), arriving at 2PM. Anyone has any suggestion what to do? Definitely don't want to sit in the lounge for 6 hours....Thanks

I don't think that's enough time to go to the city. I transited there for 4 hours last month and the lounge did get boring. Next time I would head over to KLIA 2 and explore the shops and food outlets there.

Havent been there for years, but that is an enormous terminal - almost takes 6 hrs to walk up and down :)

It's certainly possible to get the KLIA Ekspres to Sentral for an hour or two. Trains take 28 mins and run every 15 mins at peak times (eg 16:00-22:00). MYR 70 return. Not sure that Sentral is so worth it. But the time to get there (or back) with passport control and airport terminal walking/shuttle trains should be less than 90 mins. You have 6 hours.

Agree with Austman.
KLIA Ekspres to Sentral - should get a view of Petronas Towers coming in (cost is MYR35 each way - so A$12)

Not a massive amount at Sentral itself but a few options
Nu Sentral - Brand new mall. Not the most impressive in KL but includes a Parkson Department Store, H&M and Uniqlo, plus plenty of food outlets
Mai Bar @ Aloft - Aloft hotel connected to Sentral has bar and pool on the 35+ floor with good views to the city
Little India - Just the other side Nu Sentral for some great food

At a pinch you could get the train/ light rail into Bukit Bintang/ KLCC but you are cutting into time.

Other option I would consider is hiring a cab and getting him to drive you to Putrajaya (essentially Canberra) which is a planned government headquarters

Is very different from KL proper

Will be a squeeze to get into Bukit Bintang area with 6 hours, however Sentral is definitely do-able via the train. I guess you could sneak up to the Hilton / Le Meridien pool and go for a quick dip ;) ;)
