While I have until May 16, looking at ways to get to WP sooner. I currently need 445 SC, however 200 of those I have covered with forward bookings. This means I need a run to net me 250 SC with the least amount of $ spent.

Any suggestions?

EK F (with a QF flight number) for $8-900NZD is always a fun way of earning 120 points and those sales are usually on every week or two. Sadly, it's always more expensive flying the other direction (roughly $1300 flying from BNE, MEL or SYD to AKL).

Agree that flying EK F from AKL to SYD is a good option. Can usually get a seat for $900, but only from Auckland. That flight earns 120 status credits each way.

If you feel like doing a bunch of trips to Tasmania, Qantas is currently selling flights from SYD to LST via MEL for $95 next May (sale ends today). 6 return trips would get you 240 status credits for $1068, which is about is cheap as it gets but obviously not as much fun, and you'd have to wait until May which kind of defeats the purpose, I guess.

Thanks for this! Just booked a weekend away for the missus and I :)
