Status points crediting for oneworld just prior to anniversary

I am about 300 points shy of making platinum for this year, and will be travelling to japan, returning back home about 1 week before the anniversary date of my ff membership.
I am flying cathay, and should get about 400 points from flying J.
I have read that it can take up to 8 weeks for oneworld partners to credit status credits etc.
Does this mean I won't make platinum during this year? Or does it depend on the date I fly rather than when the points are credited.

99% sure (I'm sure someone else will confirm) that flights credit based on the date of the flight, even if they actually appear in your account weeks later. So you should be fine...though if you're a bit uncertain I'd call QF to clarify.

Correct. Depends on date of travel, not the date the flights credit to your account.
