Status Credits

Hello

I am just wondering if I can earn Status Credits if I purchase tickets for my family members? or are they able to transfer it to me?

If not, can anyone tell me how they gain the status credits to the gold level?

In a short answer no. SC's can not be transferred between family members, but points can (once a year per family member)

And in a long answer - Not really.

However some unscrupulous people have paid for family/friends to fly under their name and FF card as ID is not checked for domestic flights in Australia. This is wrong, possibly illegal and highly risky - but then so is speeding.

I am planning to fly 2300SCs of travel this year and if I wasn't I would be happy to drop down a level - this is not something i have any interest in trying.

To give you a direct answer to your second question....

Folks fly.... a lot!

I'm with NZ rather than QF.. but the website says -

To get Gold requires 700 Status credits... which could come from:

70 flights SYD-CBR in Y OR 2 Zone 10 flights (>9601 miles) in F. :shock:

...or many combinations in between....:mrgreen:

P.S. That is in one year of course.... there is a "discount" for requalifying in subsquent years...
