Hi all,
I have an issue with both Singapore Air & Virgin that I would like your opinion on.

I have an issue with both Singapore Air & Virgin that I would like your opinion on.
- I took a business class return flight from Perth to Tokyo with Singapore Air earlier this year.
- The plan was to use the status credits from this flight to maintain my Velocity status
- I called both Singapore Air & virgin to shore up this plan before booking the flight, the only stated catch was that I had to declare my intention when checking in with Singapore air at the check in counter and register my Velocity frequent flyer number
- After waiting a couple of months post completing all the legs/flights only one of the legs was showing status points / credits
- After several check in s with both Virgin & Singapore Air, Virgin Australia has now said that no status credits can be awarded because the flight was part paid for with Krisflyer Miles ( a very small amount I might add, I think it saved me $5 or 10 dollars)
- Singapore have now informed me that by default, some Krisflyer points are used when buying a flight with Cash (apparently that is a requirement to earn more Krisflyer points?
