My membership assessment date each year is in September. This year, I fell just short of Gold and re-qualified Silver. However, given that my existing status credits have a 365 day validity, I expect to have sufficient status credits by Feb 2014 to get back to Gold.

My question is this – is there a minimum period of time that you get to keep Gold status for? A significant portion of my status credits was earnt in Jul / Aug this year which means that I may not have sufficient points in Sep 2014 to requalify Gold. Would I drop back to Silver again at that point in time?

If you get enough Status Credits to get back to Gold, you will keep Gold Status for 1 year and your new review date for Gold will be 1 year from the point you achieved Gold. So if you get enough status credit and eligible sectors to qualify for gold in 2014, that will be your new review for which you have a year to re qualify.

Note there is an additional month of SG during the review period.

i.e. Qualify on Nov 14 2014, your card will be valid for "one month after the review date", so Dec 14 2015.

Many thanks for feedback everyone - it was just what I was looking for!
