I have booked and paid for a return Business Class ticket from Sydney to London flying BA in Dec 2013. The date of the actual flight is Aug 2014. Will I be getting the "old" Status Credits or the "new " reduced SC flying with partner airlines? Can anyone help with this question?

Should be the old SCs if you booked before the simpler fairer enhancements were announced.

From the reply I got, its only a tie in period of a month, ie, you will get the old SC & QFF points rate, for the month of Jul this year, after that, you get all at the new *lower* rate of earn.
I had hoped to make PS this year, with 515 SC worth of bookings, and then the news of the changes came in.
I wrote a terse letter to PO Box/Locked Bag 4357 (I think in Melbourne), and got one reply, that they see my bookings, and that I will earn points at the old rate, but my impression, I didn't kick up a stinker, that I only get to earn at the old rate for the month of Jul, and then, its all the new rate after.
So, I had to pay more money to get 500 SCs worth of bookings, to get the bonus 8000 QFF points.
After the end of this earning year, I think I am going to put all my bookings to VA.
Oh, to add vinegar to the wound, this is no sly to the QF guy (CSA that rang), and got to my message bank, (I was not able to get to the mobile in time), that my letter would be/was passed onto the area concerned.
The person who thought up this, whether it was AJ or the head of QFF should admit who did it.
Realistically, they all would just hide and not say anything more. I would be shocked if they said whose idea it was though.

It's my understanding that bookings made prior to the "simpler and fairer enhancements" would earn at the existing rate. I'm certainly hoping that to be the case as I have a BA WT+ booking for August/September from which I am relying on about 300 SCs.

From the FAQs page:

If you have flights booked (booked and ticketed prior to Sat 29 Mar 2014) for travel on/after 1 July 2014, you will earn the Qantas Points and Status credits that applied at the time you made your booking. The applicable Qantas Points will be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer Account approximately four weeks after the dates of the flight(s) taken.
