I have just flown BA SYD -LHR- SYD in Sep 2014 and my account was credited with the "new" reduced Status Credit Points. My BA ticket was ticketed and paid for in 2013 (before all these changes) and I am wondering if I am entitle to the "previous" Status Credits applicable before the changes in 1 July 2014.

I believe that you may be entitled to the previous rates, however they may need to be manually adjusted.

In any case perhaps a phone call to QF may help expedite the process.

I had also bookings on EK but QF flight no...
Booked prior to changes, credited at new lower rates, the adjustments were only in that month of Jul, had some made up difference in points and SCs... after Jul all my flights are at new rates.
I am not a quibbler though.
Best of luck getting your goal.
I was going to make the 500 Loyalty Bonus min for the 8000 QFF pressie, then the changes came along.
Looks like I might only make 415.
I am totally skint, no more flight bookings for this pooch this year.

Thank you. I will ring them tomorrow.

How did you go with this? I am in a similiar situation where we have just flown CX SYD-HK-PAR (Business) and instead of earning 280 SC one way I have been credited 140 SC. Flights were booked and paid for back in March prior to the change being announced and this means the difference between Gold and Platinum status for me this year. Fingers crossed that a manual adjustment can be successfully done over the phone

Rang Qantas this morning, extra Status Credits are now credited into my account. Thank you Qantas.

Your account should update automatically, generally over the weekend. Give it a few days and then call up and they will fix it up for you.

welcome to AFF Sjobeck. Fingers crossed but also good luck. Our adjustments have been very hit and miss unfortunately.

Thanks for info, just checked the account and was credited the new rate rather than old rate (CX flying to JFK). When I get back I will see if it automagically adjusts or it's off to the call centre. Will mean keeping Plat for another 12 months, so very much worth the effort

By the way are QFF points also reduced with the new earning rates? My itinerary was SYD-HKG-JFK and return; should I also be checking that points as well as SCs get the old rate

My MH SC adjustment hadn't posted after 4-6 weeks so sent through request. Proecessed within 48 hours but I then had to resend for WMBO on the same ticket as I hadn't asked for hers to be fixed in my original request.

Aye, on the cheaper fares, points earns have been reduced.
QF wants you to fly QF, though they are not making a big deal out of it.
Flexible Y earns much more than restricted or discounted Y.
This is the the same for discounted J and flexible J too, on the restricted fare, points earn is less.
But Ozkid, send in copy of your BP though.
For me, the difference pre Jul 2014 and post Jul 2014, QFd MEL - ADL is just 200, and 5 SC, so I won't be making a fuss, but SYD to HKG to the states, its a big loss post Jul 14 changes, so call them up, and send in BP if you have to.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

All my domestic flights have been posting at new rate of 800 QFF points. And then 2-3 days later what appears to be a manual adjustment of 200 QFF points appears on my account.

Update for my CX flights, rang through to QF call centre today and the extra SCs were manually entered as we spoke. It appears non-QF flights have to be manually adjusted, whilst QF flights will automatically adjust.

couldn't believe MEL-HKG on CX was 120 SC in May but now it's just 60, that's just insane ...

Growl, eh, Kitkatff...
But this was "good" for QF, must have been, according to someone/some people there.
Hope they kept their jobs what with the loss of 5000 staff at QF.
The changes will still let me get QF PS in a while, but lost me from getting LBtier1, 500SC to get 8000 QF FF points. BUT, PS gives only 1 visit to QP, but am already a member of QP, and bonus 0.25/0.50 per mile earn in FF points, but no bonus SC. PS is not worth it, come to think of it.
In my case, I wont be chasing QF SC after this upcoming PS qualifying year.
Will pay for my QP and thats it.

The "fairer and simpler" Partner Airline Earning Table for LAN flights is wrong. In that table, all economy flights are considered as "economy", and there is no "discount economy".

LAN Earning Table.jpg

I've recently taken a return flight SCL/GRU on a LAN ticket (S fare). According to the Partner Airline Status Credit Earning Table, I should have accrued 40 SC each way (1626 miles on "economy").

However, I've received only 20 SC each way.

I've rang Qantas, who basically acknowledged that the Partner Airline Earning Table for LAN is wrong, and all economy fares (except Y) should be classified as "discount economy".

Should I pursue this, and demand that the Qantas website is honoured?

If you relied on information presented on the Qantas website to make a booking decision, then yes, do bring it to Qantas' attention and ask that you be credit with the points and status credits that were promised in line with the published T&Cs of the program.
