Who are considered VIPs?

CL's, and people who are VIP's in normal life, so pollies, A list actors, CEO's of big business etc...

I have heard there is a VIP flag which TA's can tick during the booking process (and I get the feeling I've had that flag ticked a few times when my TA friend of mine was doing my bookings, since I was really treated well whilst he was doing the bookings, and then the extra good service stepped back down to standard service once he moved into corp bookings and I had to do my own bookings again)

CL's are not automatically ticked as QF VIP just to be clear.

I don't think normal TA's can activate the QF VIP status either anymore (I do remember a time where they could though - and any old Flight centre can put VIP on your booking but doesn't mean the airline flags you as such on their system if that makes sense).

QF can mark passengers as VIP on their end through customer relations - but it has to be legitimate. It is relatively hush hush and I only know this much because in my line of work I work with VIP celebs and personalities sometimes.

We certainly can't put them on VA and if they aren't big enough to fly privately we work with QF. QF also help arrange discreet exits etc.

You probably had confused between 1 carry on and 1 personal item vs 2 carry on (plus a personal item) referred to in QF policy for INT J/F pax.

Next time in DOM Y, try to bring two carry on and report back to us your experience !

I'm glad we are not heading down the US route in terms of Y carry ons (number and size !!!).

....Even DomY are allowed two pieces.
