Starting Again

New member here - hello!

I used to be quite active in the points/status game while working in the US. After stepping away from my industry for a while and moving back to Australia, I've unfortunately watched those balances and status disappear... something I'm regretting now - so essentially starting from scratch again.

Looking to get back into it and rebuild - keen to learn the best current strategies for earning status, points, and maximisation of both (especially from an Australian perspective).

For anyone who has been in a similar 'starting over' position, where's the best place on this forum to begin? Any recommended threads or resources for newbies? I've been listening to the Travel Pointers podcast and can already see the value in this community.

Thanks!

Welcome @ajwhite.
I’d have a good read of the threads in the “airlines and their FF programs” section as this will give you some intel on the options available. I’d also read the “travel mistakes” and “travel micro hacks” thread in the open section as there is a lot to learn from others there. And finally, I’d look at the hotels section too as hotel status can be useful too.
And then, get posting with your questions. People here are usually kind and helpful IME.

Extremely helpful - thank you.
