PARIS, France - February 6, 2014 - Star Alliance will be refurbishing its Lounge at Paris Charles-de-Gaulle (CDG) Terminal 1 between mid-February and mid- April 2014.

In addition to essential and routine heavy maintenance work, the refurbishment will give the lounge a fresh new look and offer a more comfortable environment. The new design will take into account the feedback provided by many thousands of guests who have used the lounge over the last year. The seating capacity will also be increased as part of the overhaul to better meet growing demand.

The lounge will remain open for eligible customers while the work is being carried out. However, overall available space will be reduced and therefore some customers might have to be re-accommodated in alternative facilities. These will be located near the lounge and complimentary refreshments along with wireless internet will be offered. Customers will receive full details of how to access the lounge at time of check-in.

The separate First Class section and the shower facilities will not be available during the refurbishment.
While all efforts to minimise disruption are being taken, Star Alliance wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused and looks forward to welcoming guests to a significantly improved and more comfortable lounge from mid-April. Customers can find up to date information on the renovation works at: Star Alliance lounge Paris - Star Alliance

The lounge was originally opened in 2008 and provides access to First and Business Class passengers along with Star Alliance Gold Card holders travelling from Paris – CDG Terminal 1.
In addition to the Star Alliance Lounge, the following member carriers provide lounge facilities at Paris – CDG. These lounges will continue to operate as normal:
Lufthansa and SAS in Terminal 1
Air Canada in Terminal 2
Note also that Austrian Airlines and Ethiopian offer passengers access to third party contract lounges in Terminal 2.
In total 22 Star Alliance member carriers serve Paris-CDG, offering 130 daily flights to 34 destinations in 23 countries.
