I have a star around the world ticket, minimum 3 stopovers(24h+)

I actually wish only to have two stopovers....

Question is

How do the airlines enforce this rule once you have been ticketed

Are there any tips for circumventing this to avoid the prospect of twidlling my thimbs for 24 hours near an airport?

:D very much appreciated

Might help if you tell us your preferred routing and what you will have to be ticketted on.

Like I said, tell us your ENTIRE itinerary.

As an example (not related to you, of course) if someone was flying JFK-LHR-SIN and wanted LHR to count as one of the stopovers (even though there for only a few hours), I would suggest they fly JFK-MAN, get the train down to London and fly LHR-SIN the same day. Bingo, you all of a sudden have a "stopover" even though it is less than 24 hours.

But to suggest something appropriate, we need to know your ENTIRE itinerary.
