Perhaps this is a regularly operated flight for Great Barrier Reef or nearby resort, or perhaps it's for G20 summit attendees, but can anyone tell me what SQ8931 from SIN to ROK today is for?

Military charters. Happen this time every year and is usually SQ, MH or NZ. they'll operate most nights for a while now.

I notice that Exercise Wallaby 2014 has been getting mentioned in Notams.

Here's the full aviation spiel : H48/14

My fondest memories of Shoalwater Bay was the good quality fishing. I admit that I didn't take the exercises seriously.

Flying the very aircraft on your Avatar 'Albatross710' we got some great Mud Crabs at Shoalwater Bay. (Just a few years ago now though)

Doing range clearance we traded cigarettes for sea food :!:

I was a flight fitter whom had to fill in the time while you guys fly those all important sorties. Vivid memories of being winched down into one of the river bends at the start of a sortie then to be picked up upon the aircraft return. Sitting here in my suburban office I miss those adventurous days and the Rockhampton Country Comfort.
