SQ222 and SQ231 - chances of new config aircraft by October 2019.

Hey guys and gals, managed to grab F redemption for wife and self on 222 amd 231, nothing wrong with the older variant of suites but jist wondering what are the chances the aircraft will be flying the new config by October...

I'm also interested as I've booked SQ231 in F mid Oct.

I just did a search for paid flight on the day and SQ221 is advertising the 'New suites experience on A380' in the details of the flight option, where as SQ 231 advertises 'Your first class inflight experience' rather than the new suites.

Doesn't confirm it, but doesn't look to be in favour of SQ231 having the new suites in mid Oct. Hopefully this isn't the case.
 
I have flown in old style F and R and vastly prefer F. R felt like sitting in a cupboard for several hours. I can see that if I were super famous and likely to have people looking at me all the time, the cupboard might seem to have advantages, but basically I prefer the level of human contact in a more open cabin. Plus, looking at the new R, the seats don't look like they recline fully and being stuck in the middle of a cubicle makes me think of American gas chamber executions.

But YMMV.
 
agree with the new F. Tried it on 777. We are travelling with a year old, so privacy of suite may work better ;)
 
Appears that SQ222 SYD-SIN will be on the new A380 from 10 June 2019. I got an email today saying my 2 x F Saver Award seats In June 2019 had a seat reallocation. New A380 map appearing on Manage Booking so grabbed 1F & 2F. I would imagine the return SIN-SYD flight will also be upgraded. Great news for Australian SQ flyers.
 
I've got SQ222 booked SYD-SIN for 18th Sept in F - still showing the old config, but all fingers crossed that changes closer to the date!
