SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

You mean:
Elsewhere - SIN in R/F then O/N in SIN
TPR next day is allowed even in SIN-AUS is in J?
YES have done it many times - on arr into SIN after 1st sector in either R or F go to TPR for whatever length of time you desire. Seek out Duty Manager and explain you are transiting and dep next day - ask nicely if they would be kind enough to permit you entry back into TPR prior to dep.

YES lounge staff knew me but I also have given this advice to several others who have had similar success.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to give a trip report.

SQ228 Suites 8/10/26
Arrived at MEL F Lounge. Reminded me of a Dungeon. I wanted a tipple of Macallan 12 and they ran out. Apparently they couldn't get any more. Can't wait for the new lounge.

On board was a totally different story. Great flight as always in F.
I ate the Caviar which was nice. But would have preferred Satay. They offer it on the morning flight SQ248 which is really strange.
Handpicked Swimmer Crab Salad which was decent.
I had the beef rib eye and it was average. A little bit tough but its hard to get steak right on the plane.
Yuzu Cheesecake with Almond crumble was the highlight.
The Cristal and Comtes went down a treat though.

The service was exceptional as always and the crew are so accommodating. On arrival, my friend who was in PY was escorted with me to the FCL and we had a few drinks together before heading to the hotel. I managed to sneak in to TPR for their Wagyu Satay which is divine. The FCL and TPR was very busy because of the F1 and it almost felt like being at a music festival. I even spotted Youtuber KSI in the FCL.

SQ892 First Class 13/10/26
Short 3hr flight. Had the lamb chops and managed to get an hour sleep. The 777F seat is very functional. CH BDM was served and I thoroughly enjoyed a glass or 2. The real highlight was TPR and the buggy to the gate.

SQ893 First Class 15/10/25
SKL F in HK was busy. The service was good with very attentive staff encouraging and suggesting us things to try on the menu.

Boarding process was interesting. I have a friend who is an influencer. We were both flying F and he got an escort to his seat and the gate agent rolled his bag whereas that didn't happen for me. Not that I care, this is purely a data point.

On the plane, the service was fine for a 3 hour flight and I possibly had the best steak I have ever had on a plane. Once we landed, we had Concierge waiting for us with an iPad that had our names on it. We went to TPR and refreshed then went to do some shopping.

SQ237 16/10/25 Suites
We were buggied to our gate and we boarded first. There was one J passenger that yelled "Why do they get to board" and the gate agent said they're first class passengers and apologized profusely to us. It must be witching hour at 1am in Changi.

For an overnight flight I had 2 glasses of Cristal and went straight to sleep. When I woke, I had Caviar and the Wagyu Yakiniku which is the best btc in my opinion. My FA was so lovely every time she came in to do her job, she always asked if I needed anything else. My asthma flared up due to the haze and I had a lingering cough. She made me a cup of tea before landing. It was sweet of her.

Overall the SQ F experience has improved leaps and bounds with the concierge. I would love Satay on all flights ex AU and on sleeper service flights too considering the cost of a flight in F.

I am looking forward to their announcement of their new seat today but I think it will be very similar to Japan Airlines offering on their A350.
