No there is no BTC many outstations - it’s too complicated for my limited little brain

3 flights had a table cloth and then a tray table placed on top. This was a change to previous trips and I thought it was disappointing.

The tray service is usually used for “supper” service on flights departing late night.

217 arr 30 mins early tonight - I have never seen MEL arr hall so empty - not 1 pax at ticket machines as I approached - straight through in 2 mins

That was definitely the case for a midnight departure from Singapore, but the midday departure from Brussels was definitely tray. No biggie, I’m glad to see my experience isn’t the new normal.

Except for the salmon - I don’t do salmon - something fishy about it

But I was brought up in the bush in a family of 11 kids - we always had >1,000 sheep and hundreds cows wandering the paddocks - the old man would kill a lamb a week min to feed us so lamb chops was the staple diet - so if I see lamb chops available on SQ it’s an auto select:

Now please get past the fact that the BTC option ‘Herb Crusted Lamb Chops’ appear that they have been dusted with clippings from the old Kooyong Lawn Tennis Courts - these were superb

Not that rare actually. SQ 217's timing around 2130 is just at a sweet spot with few other International arrivals at that time so we regularly get out to the airport within 30mins, even with luggage.

SQ Fanboi Eligibility #1 - You cannot seriously claim to be a bonafide SQ Fanboi unless you have a phone cover akin to that which boomy so proudly struts around with

I do like my (and my +1’s) phone cover. Each time we fly SQ the crew ask to know the story behind them

Almost upgraded to iPhone 17 but decided to wait another year for Apple to maybe hopefully finally introduce folding mobile

Interesting... every time I've come off 217 (granted, I'm typically in Y rather than J on my inbound SQ journeys), I'm waiting forever at the baggage carousel, then the customs lines snake around, it's a shambles. In J it'll be a different story as you can avoid the lines.

Oh forgot to add have they ever clamped down on SQ Bear distribution to adults - I am not saying you wont’t receive 1 or 2 if you are an adult but certainly no guarantees even to F pax - of course they are really aimed at kids and that is where they should go.

We booked SYD-SIN and the next day SIN-LHR in first as something different. Flying to Sydney on a Qantas 787in J.
